Who remembers this post about sixth months ago from Stockholm? Week ago I left Finland for London for few days and fell in love with London and I am ready to forget Stockholm. Not really, but London interests me more than Stockholm. I’d never been in London before and that’s why I was so excited about that. London has always been one of those ”I want to visit, but not in my top 5 next destinations” – list, but I always have been sure I will eventually fall in love with the city, and that is exactly what happened. It was my first and definitely not my least visit to London and when I’m honest, and I always am, I might go back there sooner anyone could even think about it (;I went London to take the högskoleprovet(The Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test), the same exam I took last fall at Stockholm which is the admission to apply to higher education to Sweden. I could apply with the results of my finals from Finland as well but my results are not high enough to get me into the university and program I want, so I have to take the högskoleprovet and apply in with it.

So basically I am applying to Sweden but I went to London to take the test confusing, right?

I supposed to go to Stockholm to take the test like last autumn but I saw the exam was possible to take outside of Sweden in other major cities in Europe as well, so I went to London instead of Stockholm. I could have done the test in Finland as well but the location of the exam in Finland were in Åland Islands wich is quite difficult to get. So I flew Thursday morning from Helsinki to the Gatwick airport and left London this Monday so I had plenty of time to explore the city and most importantly to see my friend who studies there. I stayed at her room so I didn’t need to spend a fortune to the hotel.
I had hardly any plans for the weekend. I had a big list of the things I would like to do but I knew my time was limited and I didn’t want to take any pressures so I went with the flow so I wouldn’t be disappointed about thighs I had no time to do, wich by the way, was a very good idea. One of the absolutely must to do thigs still was a West End musical and I wanted to see the Phantom Of The Opera, wich we enabled to get tickets. I will write an own post for the Phantom later on. There is so many stories to tell but unfortunately, I have no time to tell any of those now but don’t worry, this won’t be the only post from London.

Obviously, I had my camera with me and I took plenty of pictures but there is no photo of me, except the selfie with the Big Ben, because I didn’t feel like shooting outfits. I kind of feel bad we didn’t shoot and kind of not. It would be great to post here and Instagram outfits from London but it was fun not to shoot, just go on and see as much as possible. So the pictures I took is all about the London, Architecture, and food, very tourist, hahaa.

I thought I wouldn’t publish these pictures but it had snowed during the night again, so it is ok to publish winter pictures, haha. It has been five weeks of shining sun and raining snow.  The spring in Finland is quite early, snow in March isn’t unusual, it just feels terrible when the ground is one day clear of snow and next day full of it.The real thing I wanted to write about was the people. We were on Friday at the restaurant and during our dinner, someone had painted the windows of the restaurant. Actually, they had sprayed half of the block with white paint and I can’t understand why do people do that. The costs of cleaning are humongous. I would understand, totally still not accept if they had something to say like ”don’t eat the meat” or ”fuck the politics” but just trashing the city is something I just can’t get. If someone is in need of paper, please mail me and I will sed you paper and pens to draw with. Just don’t graffiti the city, thank you.// I wrote this article on Sunday but didn’t have time to finish it. Now it has shined whole day and there is no snow left from the weekend.

Since the beginning of the year we supposed to go to the Roux with my papa, for blinis and yesterday, we finally went, mainly because the mini blinis with roes and sour cream were the only blini dish left at the menu. I have ever eaten blinis even tough my mom and her friend make them sometimes. And gosh they were delicious. Crispy but soft inside with tree types of roes and Cava, of course. We ordered few extra blinis and after that were full enough to just order dessert. The legendary Chocolate trilogy has been on the menu since the beginning but I have ever taken it before. Chocolate desserts are not usually my favorites but how could I resist chocolate fondant? The dessert was heaven on earth and I was ready to die. I understand very well why people almost lost their tempers when they tried to take the chocolate trilogy off from the menu. The combo of chocolate fondant, chocolate marquise and white chocolate mousse with strawberry sauce was perfect. The common problem still is you usually don’t have any room for it – the chocolate trilogy is a quite big dessert after serval courses of delicious dishes.

If you like good quality food and the best service you can imagine the Roux is the place to go in Lahti.

I bought this coat about a year ago for my penkkari costume. I dressed up for my version of Cruella de Vil and the fur(faux) was only coat to wear. After that, the coat laid on my wardrobe until last fall I started to use it when I took the dog out. The coat is long and warm and perfect to throw on and go to the midnight walks. I liked how the coat moved and felt so I tried it with few outfits and it worked very well. I started to use it and it was perfect for the cold winter days. It was an easy way to update basic white t-shirt and jeans combo to more trendy look. The coat started many conversations and my friends offered to buy it and I had to say no, hah

Now it is time to say see you soon and pack the Leopard with my other winter coats and clothes and take them down to the basement to wait next fall. Luckily there is a new spring coat to replace the empty spot of the leopard.
